Dear Geordie
Instead of wasting your time trying to help lost souls I was wondering if you and a few others on here could help me with a never ending task I've been given?
The problem is this - everyday I have to push this immense boulder up a hill only to find that when I reach the top it rolls back down again accompanied by the mocking laughter of the old gods. I then have to start all over again......
Here's hoping you can help me.
Yours
Sisyphus

Dear Sisyphus
A thought provokingly parallel paradigm exists in the realms of my memories from India. My good friend, D' Mello underwent the rigours of training and initiation towards becoming a Franciscan friar in the forests of Chittagong, Assam when he was a teenager. There he was asked to dig a hole 6 ft. cube in the wet loam with a small spade in pouring rain. Once finished, he would be asked to fill it back up and start all over again. This exercise was designed to illustrate that an unquestioning submission to hard work would prepare and enable him to serve the total strangers and sometimes thankless souls that he might come up against in later life.
After all, ARBEIT MACHT FREI ..... right?

To be honest I half expected it to be Coloured doves these time
Steve, on an Air Arms related theme, have a go of my 510 thumbhole I've recently purchased next time you bump into me at the range. I'm surely starting to bore people now but I can't get over what cracking rifles they are!

And the next line goes ....
Awe bleteþ after Eboswan ...
Anyroad (as I was taught to say in Staffordshire) ... I must make amends, as Janice Joplin once said.
I got my Cherrapunji mixed up with my Chittagong. The former is in the state of Meghalaya, India on the border with Assam state while the latter, is in the adjacent country of Bangladesh.
And for the record, if you are picking some collards, makes sure you chop some up for the fer
rals
