Hard case

Thu Dec 31, 2015 5:50 pm

Hi Team,

I'm looking for a hard case under £100 for my FTP900. I have fully floated the barrel with a Rowan shroud and stripper (works for me with AA Fields, your experience may differ) so I'm looking for a bit more transport protection than the bag I currently use.

Problem seems to be the depth of these cases, rig overall dimensions are: 1040mm long x 290mm high x 105 deep, it's the palm shelf and the wacking great Big Nikko perched on top that makes it so deep.

Any thoughts? The best I have found so far is the Jakob Winter JM3002111 which just about seems to fit.

Thanks, Rob

The Vinny Jones of hard cases is Peli / Storm and given your investment in the rifle well worth the money, they are a wee bit expensive but, then so are most things well made.
I am afraid rather over your budget but, the quality and durability is second to none.

Hard to beat Pelican.
Here's one on ebay at a good price £190 + £12 p&p, but open to offers:-

Just noticed your setup is too long as these are 910mm x 352mm x 134mm internally

Just noticed he has another, a 1720 case which is bigger at £200 or offers: 1065mm x 344mm x 134mm internally both as new unused.
