My shooting has been a bit frustrating so I put the gun away for a month and bought myself an air rifle hunting book to read at work. I've picked up quite a few bits of useful information including the distance the writer is zeroing at and distances being hunted at and it seems I zeroed far too far out ! I was zeroed at 35 meters which was right at the top of the turret travel. I was also missing a lot of easy shots

so I've spent a couple of hours re-zeroing at 30yrds and then checking what hold over and under I need to use at 5yrd intervals from 15yrds out to 40yrds and was amazed at what a cock up I'd made of my first set up
I'm now finding that the aim points for 15 to 30yrds are almost the same and I need a lot more practice for 35yrds and at the moment 40yrds is a definite no no !! So it just goes to prove a bit extra research and some patients in a cold wet and windy field can pay dividends
