The question I have is can you turn the ir of if your using it during the day?
Button on the back of the illuminator, first press, scope on, no IR, second press IR 1, third press IR 2, fourth press IR 3 full power. Press again, IR off and scope still on. Press and hold in any stage and it all switches off. Make sure the little green LED at the back is off.
Side wheel, turn for brightness, press and hold for reticle options, turn wheel to scroll through ret shape, colour and position. Once options are done, press and hold to exit colour, shape or position and then press and hold again to exit set up.

Re: photon xt
Thanks mate . Just had a play . So when you scroll the menu the rets pop up I chose my ret then the colour , then scroll down to where there is a y and x and they are for zero ? If so and I manage to get the scope to zero do I then have to set zero if I change the ret?

X and Y are elevation and windage. You don't need to alter this if you change ret or colour, and normally it remembers these settings if you change the batteries or leave them out for a while.
But, like I said, get the Sportsmatch fully adjustable mounts, set X and Y to zero or dead centre, put the gun in a workmate vice and fire at a target and adjust the mounts without moving the gun. Mine is as accurate as an Omega watch on a Russian athlete now, well, without the steroids that is.

Re: photon xt
fair enough I'll probably have to sell the 2 other pairs to fund it . One more question do you use yours for night hunting exclusively or do you use it for both?

Re: photon xt
I use it for night hunting really, I have a Rapid Mk2 in .20 with a Lightstream scope for dawn to dusk, you can't really beat that for clarity and accuracy. I did try the Photon in daylight and let my mate use the Rapid but he shot two and I missed everything, but to be fair it was on the cheap mounts and tended to put the pellet where it felt like it.
