The S410 action has been with us for years now! and it has proved it's self too be reliable and simple design, I must have worked on loads of these actions over the years usually only for general servicing or ((tuning for the perfectionist)) We all know fine well these new'er actions are fitted with Anti-Tamper something we just live with and deal with when servicing is due.
There is one thing I never asked or Questioned about when fiddling with the S410 or any configuration of the s4** actions.
If you look closely at the bellow photo at the front scope mount you will see a roll pin protruding up out of the s510 action this is exactly the same on the s410 actions I can only pursue this is a scope recoil stop pin installed at the factory unsure if it is really needed as there is no recoil on PCP's and I know for sure this pin is not used on any other air rifle actions Maybe only Air Arms design maybe a good idea but is it really needed.
see bellow the protruding roll pin from the top of the all S410, s510 actions is it really needed, I think it is a good idea rather than having scope slipping down the action but on a pcp, a spring rifle needs a scope mount stop pin as of recoil.
Over the years I Never Questioned or wanted to know the reason Why? on a PCP.

Re: Is this a Recoil stop pin.
It is my understanding that the pin is simply to stop you mounting the scope too far back and thereby interfering with the magazine loading, rather than preventing scope movement in the case of a springer. I've got an MTC Viper Connect mounted on mine, so this pin is redundant anyway.

Yer, I thought it maybe was some positioning scope mount guide, or recoil pin...?

Exactly that, mine pulled out with pliers and went into my bits and bobs tray.
