Hi to all PCP Air gunners. It might have been answered before, but I'm new to the Air Arms s 510 xtra fac Rifle.
Dose anyone out there recommend using Diver's Silicone Grease on the 2 seals where you fit the female air filler valve to. I'm talking about only a very light smear to stop the seals from gripping onto the fitting itself as you push it on. Thanks.

any bit of rubber that's subjected to pressure should only be lubed with non-mineral oils and greases so a light (very light) smear of silicon based grease is ok, metal to metal situations are a different kettle of fish tho, never use silicon lube for that

Divers silicone grease is ideal. Do not use the clear silicone grease you get for a couple of quid from Maplins, it's made for insulating and soaks into O rings causing expansion and failure. By rule of thumb, O ring grease should be opaque or white, not clear.
