Hi All
I bought my s410 about a month ago, its a great rifle apart for one thing, due to my fingers, I'm having problems the cocking bolt, and in a competition shoot were I take two shots in each lane, I have to cock it three times to take the mag out to make safe, so if its a 40 target shoot I have to cock it 60 times, so I was thinking of getting the s510 which has the side lever. but I will be losing about £200 on the s410, I have ordered a single adaptor, so what do you think, should I keep the s410 and try out the adaptor to see if it works better for me.

Re: s410I or s510
I've owned both, well, a 400 and a 510 (still have my Ultimate Sporter)
In my opinion...... I loved the S400 action which operated flawlessly. I had a Rowan mag system fitted, so for comps I just took the mag out and used it single shot.
But the 510 sidelever... Wow, what a system. Simple, very effective and I can truly keep right on the target between shots.
I think this is because the lever movement is just in the one plane.
In short, my US is absolutely blob on. Here is an image of nine rounds, benched, at 36 metres. Car key tip for comparison. Widest part of group <7mm
The gun is very very consistent.

Re: s410I or s510
Thank you both for your kind help, I ordered my single shot adaptor from Rowan so I will see how it works in a competition, but I like the look of the s510 with side lever and I can still use the adaptor. great shooting
