Hi,

The fitting instructions (on Huma's website) shows the drilling of a vent hole. The fps is down to the set up of various aspects of the rifle's setup rather than the reg on its own.

The one that doesn't need drilling is the Altaros. I haven't fitted mine yet. The Huma and the Lane regs look like they work on the same principal as the Rapid reg in that they have an opposed piston, the vent hole allows the core to move freely.

Without sounding extreme I'm halfway through fitting an Alatros to my 510, real simple to do obviously but I had issues with real low power. It was under 9ftlbs

I contacted alatros who did mail back about taking the sleeve out as some AA's are different ? Anyway took that out and had 14ftlbs :o And since my last mail to them Ive had nothing, I'm also waiting for a few orings so I can try again

From what Ive experienced the Lane reg is awesome, I just wanted to test stuff back to back

hi,

Can you not just reduce it to sub 12 ft.lbs with the venturi screw? Sounds like you have removed anti-tamper.

Yes anti tampers are removed to fit reg and service rifle, once I get this sorted Ill post results.

Interested in the huma as Ive heard good things, the alatros is a project in hand and we will see.

Cant see it bettering the lane reg in my s400 tbh

Just fitted the Altaros and I have 11.6 ft/lb average from 190 bar down to 100 bar. Variance is minimal, maybe 1/2 ft/lb so that will do me for now.
