Pellet size

which is the best pellet size? The AA field diablo have 4.51, 4.52 , what are your preferences? thanks Mason

It depends on the age and wear of your barrel. You really need to try both sizes and decide on the best. Try to get a selection pack. My 410 likes 4.51 but it's relatively new, but having said that, I have a fairly old .20 Walther on my Rapid and it likes the 5.1's when it should be better with 5.2's.
The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second one mouse that gets the cheese.

The stated head sizes are utterly and completely irrelevant, they typically all come in well under (I.e. 4.53 often measure under 4.50) If you are motivated to find what suits your individual barrel the best then use the die numbers as the reference and sadly, due to the individuality of each and every barrel there are no short cuts.
The same with weight... always makes me smile when I read of people quoting tiny (<6fps spreads) when they are not weighing the pellets used!, either a the chrono needs calibrating or a modicum of salt is required to digest the results published ;)
