AA S400

Mon Sep 28, 2015 8:05 pm

Well hello guys, sorry if that sounds a bit Mae West. Firstly, a big fat Thank You to Julian who pointed me in the right direction. Now, I'm the other side of 60 (plus tax) and pretty new to air guns. Ten months ago I bought a Hatsan 60S (will you please refrain from the belly laughs) That soon went and onto Weihrauch (sorry for the profanity) I have now got an Air Arms S400. It's actually a used gun simply because every S.O.B. gun dealer near me Donald Ducked up (oh, I'm cockney, so read like err, making love) I have nearly 40 years of shotgunning experience but air rifle involvement is so much more involved plus bloody expensive. Now, I do pigeons and rabbits ( HELP PLEASE, IS THERE A CLOSE SEASON ON TRAFFIC WARDENS) and i figured its time now to get a pcp. Having looked firstly at the Walther Rotex RM8 that was dismissed as being a little unreliable, the BSA ultra was also dismissed as apparently being unreliable (is it a woman? sorry ladies) so Air Arms it was.Tried the S200, fantastic little gun but was in .177, because they did not have an S400 new I figured it'll save me money to purchase a used S400 with a moderator and a Nikko Sterling 4-12x50 IR AO scope for less than £320. A bargain me thought, so handed over a handful of wedge. What a gun, power enough to cleanly despatch both fur & feather, very accurate and just nicely made, just like a Weihrauch. I still have my HW35S, pigeons do not shout "ouch" when hit with my 35, I'll not part with it. Oh, some numb nut has put wall paper on the S400, see picture.
The only thing I'll want is the Rowan Engineering 6 shot mag in 13mm . Well guys, I've blabbed enough and its now time for Morello Cherry pie and custard.
Nighty nite and good shooting.

Ooops picture cannot be uploaded, sorry guys.

welcome along tom, your pic probably exceeds the forum size limit. Youll need to get a photobucket account, much better than uploading pics direct to the forum as you neednt worry about size etc. ;)

I enjoyed reading your post, nice gun the S400

Now then, two questions for you....

1 What's a "cockney" doing 200 miles from home, in Wakefield ?

2 Where's the pic of the Cherry Pie ?
