How do you polish the hammer rail on an S400?

As the title really. My 22 S400 has dropped a little power recently, half a pound , so I was wondering if the hammer rail needs a clean. It's three years old from new and had a fair bit if use, about 5000 pellets through it. Nice and consistant with a 3fps spread over ten shots using JSB Express. Was putting out 11.2 fpe now 10.6. Is there an easy to follow, numpty proof guide available? Thanks, Darren
