Tx200 mk 3 field target

Wed Feb 18, 2015 1:29 pm

Just want to show off my TX 200mk 3
This is .177 walnut. The scope (not in the picture) is an Aron
10-40x56.

I am getting everything ready to compete in Field Target. The U.S. Nationals are in North Carolina this year. I have about nine month to get ready.

I have a Maccari spring kit and some minor trigger work done. The rifle shoots everything well. But Air Arms Diabolo Fields 10.3 seem to be the best. They are moving around 900 fps and under the 20 ft lb limit.

I was shooting hunter class last year. But this year I have this new gun and scope so I will be in open. I am looking forward to shooting this year. Last year was a learning experience.

I also have a Mk3. They're a superb rifle even out of the box. Lovely bluing and the walnut stocks are gorgeous and, they are very, very accurate.
Nice rifle buddy and best of luck in the comps.

Thanks
The amazing thing is it keeps getting more accurate.
I pulled out last years rifle to test it over the chronograph. I was able to hold it better than before and put up a nice 1/4 inch group at 14 yards. Then using the same pellets I shot the TX. I put seven shots shots inside a hole that measured less than 1/4 inch from side to side. It just stacks pellets.

The Aeon 10-40x56 is an amazing scope. I am definitly able to shoot better groups. I will have proper mounts tomorrow and then I will dial it in. I am also orderin some finish for the stock.

I also have a TX200 but I can't stand a lot of magnification, that is just me, I know others like big scopes that is up to them, so I have a Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 on mine. I like top quality glass not big scopes. But my scope has come of a centrefire rifle which I used at Bisley for some time. I have had my TX200 for a long time now, I think it is a Mk2, if the mk3 is better than the mk2 then it is some rifle. My only complaint is the weight in fact I got a S410 carbine for that reason.

the tx200 mk2 is the one to have , its got a short stroke over the mk3 , aa made a big boo boo on changing the mk3 to fit ( the american higher power market )

mk2 is a faster piston action = less follow through , getting very collectible and prices are on the up, keep it,
