I said in my first reply that my rifle was a mk2, but having had a fresh look at it I'm not so sure. Can't find anything on the rifle to say which it is. I know it is about 10 years old does anyone know how I could tell which mk it is? Does not matter which one it is I still like it other than the weight aspect. It is a .177 calibre.

has it got 4 anti bear trap slots on show, 3 spaced and the last one close to the third, if you cock it it will click 9 times then the 10th is the safety going on,
also the cocking arm is straight to the end with out any graves but it has a washer like ball stop on the end,
the coking arm will stop at 20 to clock when the rifle is standing up straight as with the mk3 its 25 to clock.
they were made up to 1998 mine number is 16265 Date of manufacture: 31.07.1998

you will find the id number on the left an inch back from were the barrel starts, and it might also have the calibre stamped in the middle of the barrel .

It does 3 evenly spaced clicks when cocking it, so it is a Mk2. Thanks "eddie666"

so its got three evenly groves seen on the chamber ? not sure abut the hc, but my tx200 standard click 9 times and the tenth is the safety going on when cocking . yours may click less, the mk2 is a bit stiffer to cock than the mk3
