Good afternoon all, the safety on my TX has stopped engaging. Not wanting to take the trigger unit apart, can anyone tell me why this might be?
Cheers
Simon

I'll hazard a guess and say you've never oiled it?
A drop of light oil on the button every few months usually keeps things running sweet, that and making sure you go right to the end of the cocking stroke.
The next step is to take the trigger block off, wash it through with a degreaser and blow it out with an airline if possible and then relube.

If the cocking shoe is failing the first thing you may lose is the safety. The gun will next refuse to latch the sear.
I don't know about you but that was my experience. I replaced the sintered shoe with a machined one from Air Rifle Headquarters.
Problem solved.

Get yourself along to the AAOC meet, you will find no end of expertise and I just happen to know that there will be at least one Jim Maccari steel cocking shoe in the charity raffle with your name on it
