What rifle, calibre and what is the power like?
Shimming the rear scope mount should help but it sounds like a low power problem to me.

Thx for the reply but i shimmed the rear of my sights and the pellet was all over the place. The answer to your question i have a .22 air arms s200 with a hawke night eye 3 x 9 x 50 scope so i don't no if its the scope or the power. My rifle is running at 10.6 flb and max 11.7 flb when it was crono it last so i don't no what it could be any suggestions would be great.

First thing I would do is to run a chrono string to find out just what the gun is putting out.
If the power is O.K. I would than check the barrel is not bent. If all is good then try to borrow another scope to try.

I have just done a crono string shot 1, 1098 2, 640 3, 590 4, 620 5, 496 fps is this usual with pcp rifles different fps rates don't you get a steady rate all the time i could understand it if the rifle is nearly out but i thought the rates of power would stay the same i think it needs adjusting to 12fps or would that be too high has the power fluctuates i just don't no what to do. I don't want to over power it let me know your thoughts.

there`s your problem, erratic power, i`d expect no more than 25fps spread with decent pellets, and if that first shot is not a chrono fault DON`T use it again until its sorted, either gunsmith for a service or someone on here to look at it, can`t see any location down for you, put it in and there may be someone close who can sort it

I'm not now quite understanding your problem.
Your rifle is shooting above the legal limit yet you say it won't reach 40/50 yds. You also have said you've just got it back from repair. I think you should take it back to whoever repaired it and tell them to try again. They've given you a Section 1 rifle. The performance is nothing like right and you've now got a problem.
Who was it that so called repaired this rifle ?

this rifle is shooting ridiculously bad, especially if it has indeed, just come back from repair (who/where?) but that chrony string is your answer right there!
less than half power after 5 shots
I`m backing the scope so far-get that rifle checked (by someone else!)

Very poor shot string, its A miracle you shot two rabbits on the off switch with that rifle running like that!

something isn't right here
(your words here)
So reset my scope upto 40 to 50 yards i bagged these 2 up at 39 and 46 yards 2 clean kills.
if i goto 5 mill dots high it will not goto 40 or 50 yards the pellet drops off before the target
are you sure your distances are correct
