Please, take note mate, the magazines on the R10 are big issue,,, yet again BSA have made yet another replacement magazine. this time with polymer inner wheel, to allow pellets to feed properly and not Jam, That is 3, magazines BSA have put out over the years onto the market. Why?,,,, I let you work it out.

Buy the HW,100 mate. you will regret the R10. (You'l most likely will not take my advice.) ( buy the HW,100) trust me!

The R10's stuck on the shelf's and gun rack in the gun shop, will not have the new magazine's fitted so you will have to buy this as well.

Here bellow is the new magazine for the R10 changed for good reason.

The BSA R10 another new bloody magazine,,, I think this number 3..... :lol: one day they will get it right... :lol:

if a dodgy mag is the only problem im sure I can sort that. the shot count of the HW is a sore point for me. me and my son do a lot of plinking on targets in the garden and it don't take long to shoot 100 pellets. I saw this vid of the r10 on you tube and the way the gun shoots for £699 is great. my air wolf and mk4 cant better this. the wolf is a £1400 gun. and the mk4 is a £1250 gun.

I have the s510, for me it feels perfectly balanced, consequently resulting in a steady shot. I have never fired a hw100 but I really can't see how you can beat the accuracy of the s510. It puts the pellets where you want them to go... Every time.
Also in 177 I get about 80-90 shots from a 190 bar fill. Can't notice the power curve either. In my opinion I also think that it looks a whole lot nicer Than the Hw
But that's just my opinion no doubt others will prefer the hw.

I've had an HW100 and the S510 - keep the HW100, I found it to be a far better rifle in many ways to the S510. Certainly the build quality of the HW was much better.

Had a word with the lads from BAR today and took on an idea of replacing the air tube , i was shown a couple of alloy ones and to compair a HW tube .
Wow the weight reduction is silly, i picked up two alloy yubes and together they were lighter than the HW one, but its a £200 tag for one with a manometer.

I have the HW 100 and have shot it daily for the last five plus years. The only issues I have with it are:

1) The breech plate seal is a crush fit and thus , in my opinion, a bad design.
2) The weight is a bit much with the steel cylinder.
3) Having a regulator isn't always a good thing, mine has had to be sent away twice for readjusting and re sealing. (My next gun will be unregulated).
4) Customer service from Weihrauch is a joke !
5) No readily available, adjustable FT stocks for it.

All that being said, I love the HW 100 and it's modular design. Accuracy has always been outstanding, reliability not so good. I really want to have a go with the S510 Ultimate Sporter and an HFT 500.

I could not fully decide either but bought the HW100FSB KT .177 (not disappointed cos' its brilliant) and now looking to buy a new AA 410s/510s with the new silencer to go with it.
Nothing wrong with a bit (lot?) of self indulgence is there? ;)
My all new collection;
DS Regal .22; HW100FSB KT .177; Brocock Contour XL S6 Elite .177;
Walther LGU .22; Crosman 2240 (heavily modified) .22; AFO Target Trophy Multi-shot .177
Deciding on which new 410s/510s walnut stocked.

Well i cant complain i put 50 shots through it from a 200 bar (swp) fill, and almost every one was within a half inch group at 35 yards from a rest.
Ok i could do that with the HW but now it's without the extra weight.
One thing i will say is the daystate Mk6 silencer is pants on the regal, so i have fitted a HW one and it's realy quiet.

Daz,

Never fear. I have an Fac Ragal .22 30fpe air rifle. It's a great rifle. I get 54 shots before POI changes( from a 220 Bar fill). At 35 yds, I'm averaging .331". with most groups have 4 shots going into .100 " of an inch using 16 gr AA Fields. I bought the Regal because I found my S510 too long for hunting in the thick bush around the area where I live.It's light accurate and beautifully built. But...I had the dreaded leak, But once it was fixed..I've not had any problems since.
