Re: s400 cylinder change help
The good new is that it can be done. The problem is that the barrel will be too short to be supported by the band.
You can get a GML type strippers that attaches to the barrel,it then goes through the band and finally allows the rest of the stripper to screw fully home.

Re: s400 cylinder change help
First remove all of the air from the cylinder.
Remove barrel clamp ( fig8)
Unscrew anti clock wise looking from muzzle to butt.
Some remove the dogleg to prevent scratching of the cylinder before unscrewing, but i don't.
Fitting the new one in reverse and lightly grease the seal with say Mollycote 33 or silicon grease.

Am sorry my answer was a bit short to you, I was under the impression you new a lot more than you do. What BBF says is right, but sometimes the cylinders can be a pig to unscrew, AA use loctite on them and you sometimes need quite a bit of heat on them to melt it ( blow lamp ) it's best to take bolt housing off to do it then undo gauge mount and take that off aswell, it is simple, just take your time, once it's undone stick your other cylinder on and put it all back together, if you need to know anything else, just ask, someone will help. And don't use the cheap silicon grease from Maplin, it's clear and for electrical insulation, it destroys O rings, use Molycote 33 or O ring grease from a dive shop.
