If you think about it how many times are you going to strip the cylinder to check on your bodge jobs. Get the proper tool for the job and forget about the worry of whats going on in there. They dont cost hardly anything in the scheme of things.

Iv`e fitted a bgltd de-pinger in my HFT500 stopped the "ping" in it`s tracks. Superb service and advice from Julian. Regards Gordon

Can you give me further advice/help on this, what his the proper tool to use, and how dose it stop the twanging.

The tool is simply the de pinger referred to above. It's a cup with an O ring, you slide it half way into the tube, it stops the shock wave resonating in the tube when you fire. They do work but put some O ring grease on it to keep the ring in place as you fit it.
The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second one mouse that gets the cheese.

I know this his all new to me :oops: , but I was told that you should take the silencer off regular'y , his this correct.

Not heard of that....ive never removed my silencer not once in ten years

I was talking to a guy who shoots rim and air gun, he said he takes his silencer off regularly as they can seize, just wondering if it was right or not.
