Most air strippers will have 3 or 4 "Vents", usually equally spaced around the circumference.

Just how does that eliminate muzzle "Flip" ?

This is how I understand how a stripper works: "It allows the pellet to start its flightpath in non turbulent air by stripping the expanding air from behind it as it exits the barrel, so preventing it flipping the pellet". I presume any reduction in muzzle flip is brought about by the weight of the stripper on the end of the barrel.

The reduction is flip is due to the weight at the end of the barrel. A barrel with nothing on it .... or the pathetic plastic muzzle break you get with the S200 would flip a lot more than on fitted with a muzzle break or an air stripper or a silencer made of metal. :)

But, i cant imagine that the air leaving an air rifle barrel would cause anywhere near the same disruption or movement as on a pistol shooting a 38super round for example

  that`s how I guessed they worked when I saw one
still, even more encouraged to try one now :P

Air stripper my backside!!!
It's just putting a weight on the barrel, nothing else. Wrap a piece of lead around the barrel and you will achieve the same accuracy. I just don't see how it can strip turbulent air, it is just another bit of kit to get airgunners to part with their money.

although in the bubble of Field Target to which i am part of,everyone has one, i have to agree with you. once the pellet has left the barrel, cant see how the air which propelled it would make any difference. my bet is the stripper works more in the way of a barrel weight. being able to move mass forward/backward will tune the barrels natural frequency to the pellet speed. my ev2 has the std stripper, where the cone is fixed. i would like to see if anyone who has an adjustable stripper and has set it up to what they come up with as the ideal off a benchrest, to now try tapping the vents and repeating the group, doubt the group would change much, if not the stripper is a barrel weight.

I am yet to try mine as a proper test. As far as the weight, they're really light
