TX 200 HC Plenum Insert.
TX 200 HC Plenum Insert.
Just wondered who prefers to use this than a silencer ..
Re: TX 200 HC Plenum Insert.
The way springers work means they don't really need a silencer anyway. There is usually little air expelled after the pellet so they tend to be fairly quiet anyway.
PCP's however, being less efficient, tend to expel quite a bit of air after the pellet and it's this that causes the problem.

Re: TX 200 HC Plenum Insert.
No doubt the theory is completely correct however, my HC is a noisy beast and I purchased two silencers for it, mattys something (long black delrin) and a UK Neil (short stubby aluminium). Both drastically reduce the muzzle noise but, sadly the thread in the muzzle of my HC is far from square so they clip badly.

Re: TX 200 HC Plenum Insert.
Would only add that the plenum insert itself makes a surprisingly big difference (try it and you will see or rather hear) but, not as quiet as a good silencer. A silencer of course makes the gun longer which rather defeats the objective of the HC vs the more efficient and indeed much quieter standard TX.
