rats
i was sat in the garden yesterday afternoon, under the bird feeder's a massive rat appeared, i went straight indoor's for my .22 hw100,i had the chance of a couple of shot's,decided not to as it wouldn't have been a clean kill.this is one crafty rat,as soon as the rifle is in my hands he's a no show,i will get it one day, what's the best thing to tempt it out long enough to take the shot !!!

Re: rats
Peanut butter smeared on the wall or floor is a good bait as they can’t run off with it.
Cooked sausage under a brick and also ham.
Good luck.

Re: rats
A small spoonful of honey dropped on the ground. It keeps them there long enough get a good shot.
They can't resist it.
What distance are you shotting them at.
I only ask because in my garden at about 10 yards the pellets go right through, so I make sure there is a solid background
