Picking one up tomorrow to be used as my main Hft Rifle.
My Mpr is now in a bit of bother since the Lane Regulator fitting didn't go too well.
I'm looking forward to a new Air Arms Rifle as it's been years since I've bought a new one.
Does anyone own a S400f carbine here and if so what are your thoughts on it.
I've heard the sweet spot is from 150 bar down to around 115 as opposed to my Mpr which was 160 down to 130.

Re: S400F carbine .177
Pretty sure the internals are identical so its just the barrel length different. Length of sweet curve depends on how much variation you will accept ie how it affects elevation at 40 yards

Hi Richard
About 45 shots from around 170 to 110 bar would be an average sort of sweet spot for the carbine, depending on how you define the sweet spot. However, the exact pressure limits of the sweet spot can vary quite a lot from gun to gun, as it mainly depends, not on the model, but on the balance (and condition) of the firing valve and hammer spring and no two are exactly the same except by coincidence. I know you have a chrono, so I suggest that the first thing to do is shoot a full cylinder from 190 bar down to the point where the power is down to an unacceptable level: that way you'll know for your own gun.
Good shooting
