Anyone used the new indexing post?
Not sure if air arms or a third-party make these.
New style indexing post
Re: New style indexing post
Yes i have fitted one to my s510, works very well.
Re: New style indexing post
What happens if you get a jammed mag? With the old type you would bend/strain and possibly break the spring.
With the new one I'm guessing you need a light touch on the cocking lever otherwise you risk straining something else... something more expensive perhaps!

Re: New style indexing post
I'm waiting for the old ones to be reduced in price, there must be lots of old stock kicking about. Some time ago I put up a post about not being able to just buy the leaf spring 'cos I'm a cheap skate!
Re: New style indexing post
I had a jam with my 3D-printed mag where the rim of the mag broke off. I don't think it was cut by the leaf spring but I can't be sure. Anyway, the leaf spring was bent in the process and wasn't indexing properly but I was able to bend it back so it works again. I have a replacement printed mag under warranty but I'm not using it until I get a new post. The event did get me thinking about what might happen with a jam, especially if it happened with the AA mag which is unlikely to break.

Hi had 2 index springs had nothing but trouble gun only 2 months old gun now back at air arms thinking of getting new type index post gun is s410f
Re: New style indexing post
I've took the edge off one side of my mags (aluminium piece), this will make your indexing post last probably 4-5 times longer, I'll try to upload some images but I'm not sure how to on here off my phone? It looks like the fx mag shape for the wild cat mrk2 if you know what I mean. Doesnt bend the post as vicariously backwards and forwards and also aids in even smoother loading..... win win
