hft 500 in a s400 stock.
Re: hft 500 in a s400 stock.
Thanks Alan, is the balance oky? and does it make the gun a lot lighter. Any chance of a pic or two with the aa 500 in the 700 stock.

It makes the gun a lot lighter, but it does make it quite forward balanced, as you haven't got the weight of the chunky original stock to counteract the barrel and long cylinder. I strongly suggest you try it out before you commit, especially as some people find that the CS700 stock is too low for them, but it's ok for me using a Connect scope in conventional, low mounts.
I already had a slightly beaten up CS700 stock, which came with an equally beaten up S400 I acquired as a project, but if I was planning to spend money, I would definitely have a good look at the CS800 stock and see if you can try one out - I have one on my HW100 and it fits me like a glove. Custom Stocks say the CS800 needs modification, but I'm not sure it does, although I haven't tried.
Incidentally, I shot my personal best HFT score of 57 with the CS700 stock - not brilliant for some, but I'll take it
