S300 trigger help please
S300 trigger help please
I've finally got my first AA pcp, was going to try get an early s200 but a lovely s300 came up at right money. First impression is what a well made gun. But the trigger has me baffled. Had a look inside and mine is the 2sear trigger, I find the 1st stage too long and 2nd a big light. When I adjust as per manual i end up with a creepy unpredictable mess. I can only get OK by having a very long 1st and very light 2nd, is this right. I'm thinking I'm inexpecting too much for a 20 yr old design? Also any ideas for giving the uncocked trigger some Spring tension, never had a floppy trigger before!!!! Any comments would be appreciated

Re: S300 trigger help please
The S300 and 310 don't seem to appear in the forum much, but from the parts diagrams the 2 sear trigger seems to be the same design as the S400 early and very similar to the latest 3 sear design.
I made this "reset" video for the 3 sear system but it should work for yours.

The internals of the latest three sear system are shown here but imagine it without the little one.

I would not worry about the floppy trigger. It is normal and unless you have a problem scaring prey as you jog through the undergrowth it isn't normally a problem. The long first stage is a safety feature in my book and if you decide not to fire, releasing it will reinstate the full sear engagement.
