How is best to stay the right side of the 12ftib while adjusting my s200.
Do I just fill my s200 to 180 and run right down to 100 bar using bisley magnums or do I test with medium weight pellets?

It's always a good idea to set your power using the most efficient pellets you can find. It varies from gun to gun, but I'd be surprised if JSB Exact Heavy don't give the highest power in an S200 but you can test that (and any other pellet that takes your fancy) yourself.

Personally, I set my PCP's so Heavies don't go above about 715 fps (723 - 1%) and take whatever that gives me for other pellets. As far as I know there is no way you can calculate the performance of one pellet from that of another in advance, so the only sensible thing is to use what you hope is the worst case to set the gun.

How close to 12 are you trying to get? I would set it to 11.5 on heavies.

My answer might not suit everyone, but xtx do an external reg, which once set up, will keep you out of trouble, my S200 with AADF 4.52 8.4gn from 190 fill = highest 11.60 ft lb 789 fps lowest 11.36 ft lb 780 fps, I will try some bisley mags sometime today and post results later. Rog

Right, just had a little play with the S200, 8.4gn AADF 11.36 ft lb = 780 fps. 10.4 Bis Mags 10.97 ft lb= 689 fps this might be because the gun is reg'd, an unreg'd gun might show different figures. Rog
