if both are springers the .22 maybe a smoother / less recoil over the 1.77
or if both are pcps ( which i am not that well up on ) is there any difference at 20yrd if you are a good shot .
I think you've finally hit the nail on the head thereif you know your aiming points, your range to target and the wind precisely then it makes no difference, if not .177 is more forgiving
Its not a case of one calibre being better than the other its what suits your needs best but if, like me, you are not an all round shooting god you will likely see better results with the smaller, faster calibre
would a heavier pellet stay on target better than a lighter pellet in a side wind regardless of velocity ? at 20yrds
