Don't really want to say this, I am a big fan of A/A but if I ever felt the need to go FAC, I doubt it would be the S510, I would be looking for a second hand Theoben, or BSA S10, just my opinion. As an afterthought, if shot count isn't a problem, what about the AA/CZ S200 in FAC I would think this little chap would be on my list aswell. Rog

Re: 510 fac
Mine has never given me any problems, get about 30-35 consistent shots from a fill.
That's more than enough when out after buggsy.
Still trying to find a good grouping pellet, not had much chance this year to do some testing.
Was surprised at the slight kick when fired though, compared to my normal 510.

Re: 510 fac
I have the FAC version of the S410 Classic, same specs as the 510, only a bolt instead of the lever action. It achieves 30 ish shots at 25 ftlbs, ideally I think you want 30 ftlbs in .22 which equates to 900 ft per second. The S510 that can reach that is the Extra version which in my opinion is too long, it's like a brown bess and unwieldy.
Knowing what I know now I would look at a buddy bottle rifle for the extra shot count and power.

Re: 510 fac
I have had this gun for 6 months - absolutely love it. Used for hunting rabbits, wood pigeon, rats, squirrels.
Zeroed scope at 50m gives a secondary zero at about 13m (great for ratting around the barns). Using JSB Express14.35g in 5.52mm which gives very tight groups at 50m. The JSB 15.89 not quite as tight.
Use a 6x to 24 x Hawke scope with AO.
have also fitted a Best Fittings adaptor which makes refilling easier since the Air Arms brass adaptor was very stiff to get on and off.
Haven't really used the low power setting at all. But this could be very useful for indoor close work and would give you a lot more shots. get about 30 shots from 190 psi start.
i also have a prosport in .22 and a CZ rimfire in .22, but to be honest the 510 FAC is probably all i need for 95% of the time.
Good luck
