Removing anodising from mounts.

P.S. I just tried unanodising the Anschutz barrel weight I bought recently. Instead of the whole turning silver the saw cuts and scratches turned grey to match the finish. Goodness knows what it is made of, some kind of heavy monkey metal.

I went with Silver BKL mounts in the end.

It as just easier, plus I've done the 'oven pride' way before, got rid of the anodising, but leaves the mounts a greyish cloudy colour. I polished the last set,but didn't want 'shiney' this time. As a side note, the BKLs are superb mounts.
