A friend of mine purchased a SMK PP700W pistol a few months ago and although it was fun to plink with sometimes consistency would let it down. Any shot fired after leaving it for some time (say 20 mins) would let the side down. Apparently the regs are not always good and it is pot luck if you get a rely good one or not. It was fun but not to be taken seriously. Anyway said pal came round the other morning all eager to do a full shotstring over the chrono as he had 'cracked the problem'. The following is a graph of the results and bear in mind it is the first attempt.
The two orange lines mark a six (yes 6) fps band of which there are 59 shots in it! I was gobsmacked to say the least as my last plot for him looked like to back of a stegosaurus (look one up). When I asked him what he had done he said he had ditched the internal reg and put a Robert Lane one in instead. Well it works is all I can say. In answer to the next question it shoots extremely accurately even out to our test 25 yards. It will be interesting to se what it does on Sunday at the farm.
