Re: Lane Regulator.

As per my PM, you should be happy about the flatness between the two red lines I have drawn on your graph.
However you need to find the reasons for the shots that are outside those lines .... and you need to turn the power down so that with an 8.4 grn pellet those lines are between 11.2 and 11.5 ft.lbs

And 30 shots is no real string ... Fill your rifle to about 195 bar. Let off about 4 shots, then do a full string (about 80 pellets) till the rifle comes off regulator. You will know when this happens because the graph will dive at the end.

Re: Lane Regulator.
Could never get on with the Lane regulator so I removed the reg that has been sitting in the draw ever since.
Shot count went from around 70 shots, down to about 30 shots in .22. This was in an early TDR with the shorter air cylinder. The reg lost me a lot of the usable air cylinder volume. Tried a bigger and more air efficient .25 cal, which was only marginally better.

This is to answer you raj I noticed a couple off pellets I loaded was slightly miss shapened so I reckon that will account for the couple off drops on the graph but will do a proper full string when I get some more pellets or may do it when where at the meet ok thx for the replys guys.

A reg will not give you consistency on its own, which is why when fitted most people fettle the Hammer, spring ect.
You will only get a true idea of power & consistency by using weighed pellets.
As a general rule I would run all my non fac at around 11.2>11.5 ft/lbs to allow for temp and pellet weight changes.
Remember it is an absolute offence if tested, 0.01 of a ft/lb is the same as 10ft/lb over, and every forces testing regime can be different.

Re: Lane Regulator.
I had similar problems after fitting my Altaros regulator until I had tweaked the hammer spring screw and venture screw. You are lucky if it runs perfect first time if all you do is fit the regulator and expect it to perform the way you want, and I expect every rifle is different depending on how good, or how old the hammer spring is. They recommended winding the venture screw all the way out, then unwinding the hammer screw until it was flush with the breach, but this gave me over the 12 ft/lb and varied as much as 1 ft/lb either way. In the end for me, I turned the hammer screw 2 1/2 turns in, and then the venture screw 2 1/2 turns in. I then increased the pressure on the valve by about 1/8 turn. This now gives me between 11.1 ft/lbs and 11.3 ft/lbs with around 4 ft per second variation with 75 shots in .22 at 190 bar, or 105 shots at 200 bar before the power starts to drop off. For these settings I found it most consistent during the set up and is probably what the rifle was designed for. When I tried to push it closer to the 12ft/lb it got less consistent, so I am very happy with what I now have, knowing that I can hit the mark with all my shots with consistency out to 45 yards, almost pellet on pellet. I am lucky to have also found a great new airgun club with a 100 yard range where the cost for membership is a flat £60 per year and no more to pay per visit. Keep at it. It may take you some time finding your rifles sweet spot, but when you do, you will have the benefit of having that sweet spot across your whole shot range, not just in the middle.
