Gun stocks
Whats your stock made of that you mainly shoot with.
Did I mention that I'm the only one to have attended EVERY meet since we started
Re: Gun stocks
Err! Not quite sure which button to press here, my 12gauge and .410 are beech stocked, the hmr 's dressed in laminate, the r10 wears walnut and the .22lr cz is another that looks pretty in beech. I suppose that makes me 3/5ths beech but it's the r10's walnut stock that gets me dribbling

The first principle is that you must not fool yourself and you are the easiest person to fool

Re: Gun stocks
I have a fetish for walnut, would rather go for walnut over beech any day. Although I do have a few springers with beech stocks and they do look nice. Especially Weihrauch's
Beech is heavier then walnut, so a few ounces more weight can be added to a rifle.
My pet hate is ambidextrous stocks. I HATE them. It seems to be every manufacturers craze at the moment.
