range finder & scope in one-do they exist?
range finder & scope in one-do they exist?
I wondered & googled this, but quickly got snowed under with information, got lost, chucked it, & came back to the font of shooting knowledge, so, does a rangefinding scope exist? how would that go on an FT or HFT competition?

I don't know if they're still on offer but a couple of years ago you could get a laser rangefinding scope from at least two manufacturers. Bushnell was one of them.
The Bushnell worked from around 18yds upwards. No, you could not use it for HFT.
FT I don't know. They were a bit pricy as you would expect.

Hi
Yes they do exist, the Nikon was at best a bit flakey not great in poor weather or very bright sunlight.
The Bushnell is available in the UK at a stupid price but from what I understand its the same unit as the Nikon just re badged.
In truth at Field target ranges yooud be doing the other shooters a favour using one.
I have used one but for what it cost I wouldnt buy it id rather put the money into a good quality FFP scope like a Sightron.

Even if you slipped it past the officials, you competitors on your peg would recognise it and cry foul !
Any scope with good side focus wheel if set up correctly will allow you to range find with sufficient precision for air gunning.
