Hammer and rail polish
Re: Hammer and rail polish
Hi there is a good step by step guide on you tube mate.
Re: Hammer and rail polish
Use Autosol on the rail but just wipe the hammer, it's oil impregnated on the inner face.
The early bird may get the worm, but it's the second one mouse that gets the cheese.

By 'oil impregnated' I mean it's an oil absorbent phosphor bronze or similar, it is designed to leach oil out over a period of time. No doubt somebody will know exactly what to do with it, but don't bother polishing it. My hammer rail had a few spots of corrosion on it, the gun is 3 years old so that tells me my hammer oil store may be dry. When I return from my holiday I will strip it down to check again and maybe apply a spot of light oil to the hammer.
