Hi everyone, I'm new to the forum and air guns, so I though I would pick your brains if that is ok.
I have recently acquired a tx200 mk3 and want to get a decent case or slip for it. Do any of you have this rifle and have any particular make or model to recommend? I would like to go for something of good quality if possible and don't mind investing a bit of money in this purchase.
Thanks in advance for any advice given

If you really want something quality that will last for years then i'd recommend you have a look here www.ogdensshootingsupplies.co.uk . I wanted a new Shotgun slip and cartridge bag and came across this chap at this years game fair at Harewood. He's a one man band and everything is produced by himself and occasionally a helper. Nothing is imported from China etc so if you want "Made in England" you'll certainly find it here. Everything top quality, hand mad and very well finished. Not cheap mind but if you want that something special!!!!

Re: Case/slip for TX200 Mk3
Thanks guys. Appreciate the quick response. Certainly some food for thought there. Perhaps a combination of the two Is the way to go - hard case for transporting the rifle around and a slip case for the field.
Pat, I'll check out those slips today and give the guy a call as they look like quality items.

The Plano Bone Collector with the plain foam is what I used for the TX20 MkIII. Opticsplanet has a tutorial on how to cut the foam for a custom fit. It is a bit heavy but it is also a secure case for storage when pad locked. This is the best springer Ive ever shot. Superb accuracy, along with the finish work puts this springer in the "Absolute Best " category. I'm in the USA, so I had it tuned to 12 fps with JSB 8.44"s.
Re: Case/slip for TX200 Mk3
depending on how/what you shoot, you`d need both I reckon, I`ve a case (with the eggbox foam) but need the (Buffalo River) slip for the field, be it HFT or hunting, no way I`d lug that big case around, way too heavy!

I use the BSA tactical ones on all my guns. I think the rucksack straps are essential if your planning on yomping over hill and dale. They are well padded with a decent rigidity too them too.
They come in two lengths and are reasonably priced and very hard wearing.

The best case for a spring rifle is a one with back pack straps so you can carry the bag on your back, this is great for a heavy spring rifle and Kit.
I highly recommend the bellow rifle bags... if you are carrying heavy spring rifle like the TX200 along with pellets and other kit.
I use this... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BQpNlThRxlk mine is size 46" fits the TX200HC with moderator fitted, had this case 4,years and its still good...
And use this for the TDR... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVTsCubGzaw Excellent case and can also hold my portable top up, day- tripper 500cc air cylinder...
These above cases are well made, and have lasted a very long time.
and want this for my other rigs expensive but best case on the market.... http://www.aimfieldsports.com/ft-100-dragbag-176-p.asp
The above Aim case is very expensive but so is my rifles, great protection and will last forever.

Mick Read the original post and my reply with the link to Ogdens. The OP stated that he did'nt mind spending quite a bit of money on a slip. Use the link and you will see that Ogdens do a slip with back pack straps. Howver the quality you get from a handmade Ogdens product way exceeds the vast majority of other products on the market including Aim Case. I wanted something to protect a £2700 Shotgun so any of Ogdens products are more than up to Protecting a Spring Airgun mate

Never come across this make or type Mick. Is it an expandable type like a bellows, hence the name? Or is Bellow the maker?
The Foreskin Leather company make a range of expanding products.
