hi, iv just bought a new s410f super light, with walnut thumbhole stock and on geting it home i fired a few shots through the chrono with AA field diablo .22 and i was disapointed to find it making 10.2lbs, surley this isnt normal? i was expecting at least 11+ for the price i paid, is there any way to up the power a little without interfering with it too much?
thanks

Re: s410f super light power problem
you really need to put some pellets through it first to loosen things up before expecting high 10 / low 11 ftlb results .
put a couple of tins through it over Christmas and re-chrono then , THEN if its still low 10's it can be returned to the shop you bought it from or worked on by yourself if you want

Re: s410f super light power problem
As above you need to bed the gun in and get this to settle down
good luck

Mine took a good 3 months of almost daily use before it bedded in and settled at 11.2ft/lb
That bedding in process also makes the action a lot smoother and easier to cycle, so give it some pellets

Re: s410f super light power problem
Hi, buy some cheap pellets and use those, rather than expensive AAF, to run it in. You should find that the power comes up after a couple of tins, the temp can affect things as well, not just the gun but the chrono too. Once it is run in try different pellets as these can make a difference as well. My .22 Supalite loved JSB Express which at 14.35 grains gave it a noticably flatter trajectory than AAFs. It also liked JSB RS at 13.45 grains (Falcon Accuracy Plus are the same pellet). Best place I found for JSB pellets is Intershoot, free p&p.

Hi,
Also test it again at about 130-140 bar (the mid point of the sweet spot typically). Bet it makes more power here!
