Airstripper
Re: Airstripper
The way I understand it is, the pellet leaves the barrel and hits resistance from the air, the following blast from the barrel can catch the skirt and cause wobble. Like a following wind behind a shuttle cock. The air stripper deflects the blast outwards thus not affecting the pellet. They are adjustable to compensate for blast pressure and crown shape.

Had a UKNeil one fitted to my AR20, it took some setting up but really improved groupings.
I measured the distance from the edge of the skirt to the 'ring' of the pellet head and set the stripper to that, this gave me my best results. The theory was the head of the pellet would be entering the cone, and stable, before the muzzle blast was stripped away as the skirt exited the barrel.

Fitted one (Rowan) to my HW100 as with the moderator I was not getting tight groups.
Just a couple of adjustments now groups well in a side a 20p sized circle.
Only drawback is the noise which will stop me from using it on the bunny hunt !

Why be awkward, when with a bit of effort you can be really impossible!
