Any one fitted a Vortek kit to TX200??

As per title I'm keen on finding out from anyone who has had one fitted to the TX200 Mk3 and how did you find it afterwards (better, worse or no difference)
Speaking to AGR tuning on the phone to have the kit fitted is not much more than buying and fitting yourself + you get the rifle de burred, polished internals etc.
I know that SFS don't tune the TX, and VMach kits are similar to standard TX internals anyway, so the Vortek seems the right choice.
My aim is to reduce twang and recoil, I'm not really interested in short stroking.

Yes, fitted a 12fpe class Vortek kit to my TX200 HC around three years ago. Still going strong. Had to play around a bit to begin with as the rifle was shooting around 14.5 fpe so I took the step of adding an extra spacer that came with the kit. That got the power down to around 11.7 fpe. From there it never looked back. Immediate difference was much smoother shooting. No spring twang whatever, nice and quiet. Very consistent and as accurate at 50m as any of my PCP rifles, though that's probably due more to the excellence of the rifle than the kit but together they make one fine rifle.

Beginning of 2014 season I replaced the "O" ring on the piston seal and checked the lube etc and this put it back as it was as it was running a little slow. Haven't used the rifle at all this season except for a few shots now and then to keep it "loose".

I know some have had problems with this kit, never the less, I would still highly recommend the Vortek kit.

Many thanks for the reply, I see you had the usual problems of adjusting power post tuning - another reason if I go ahead to send it to AGR Tuning is I don't have a chronograph and wouldn't like to risk it.
Judging from your experience the Vortek kits do make a good alternative to the usual tuning services.
I was quoted fitted by AGR with return post £130 and done within a week.

Save your money on the Vortek kit and just get a delrin spring guide and top hat from someone like Tinbum, use the money you save to buy a Combro chrono (every airgun owner should have one) don't entrust the legality of your gun to a third party. If you must fit a full "kit" then my experience is that V-Mach contributes a little more to reducing hold sensitivity. But, with a standard weight /size piston you will not significantly reduce hold sensitivity regardless of what some would have you believe

I fitted the vortek kit myself and they are great kits, any twang removed, power upped to 11.5ftb but recoil reduced. Perhaps more importantly the gun is now very consistent with a spread over the chrono of only 5ft/s over 10 shots . And all this with no top hat fitted as per instructions, I must admit I wasn't sure myself but it works!

as already stated by others here:
Vortek is excellent.

I put the 12fpe-kit in a
HW35/.177
HW50/.177 (25mm)

and the HPO-kits in a
HW95/.22
HW80/.22

To my s/h TX200 HC I spent a Vortek-HPO kit giving 786 fps at the muzzle / 14,2fpe with JSB EH 4,5 (10,34 gr) / standard deviation 4,2ft.
From my experience I dare to say this gun with the new kit is not yet run in completely and may need another tin of pellets. Subsequently power will go up a little bit, deviations will come down.

In any case the kits quitened the AGs, a quick "thudd", very nice with less recoil.
The HPO (high power output)-kits cause a little bit more hold-sensibility but this is due to the increased power output, not the kit itself.
Nevertheless very shmooth to shoot.
