Altaros regulator fitted to my S410 Classic

Hi all
I've just fitted an Altaros regulator to my S410
Dead easy to fit, takes no more than half an hour with no drilling or modification of any of the standard parts so if need be it can be removed and returned to unregulated.
I've not put a full string through it yet but did a chrono test every 10 shots from 190 bar down to 110 with a max of 770 fps
And a min of 763 fps. Using 8.4 grain AA fields.
I think the shot count was around 90, not bad for 84 Euros inc delivery.

Do you have any pictures of the reg?

How big is the spike when it comes off reg pressure?

Because there is no drilling I assume it must somehow fit to the firing pot?

No didn't take any pics, though if you go on the Altaros website and select Air Arms there are some pics.
I never noticed a spike it just seemed to gradually lose velocity.
You remove the firing pot and the reg fits in place of it.

That looks very interesting, I may well invest in one. Did you have to adjust the output pressure at all as the S400 series is initially regulated by the length of thread showing on the pot which is removed?

When I got the regulator the factory had set it to around 120 bar they suggested adjusting the power level of the rifle by means of the transfer port restrictor screw on the side of the rifle.
I chrono,d it with the screw fully out and it worked out at 13.2 ft llb though I could get it down to 11.2 with the screw almost fully in, I decided it would be safer to reduce the regulated pressure to nearer 100 bar and hopefully have the restrictor screw fully out, I did this then shot a few pellets, it was now 11.3 ft llb with the screw right out and down to 9. Something with the screw right in, plus I am also getting more shots before it drops out of regulation.
