TX200 FT scope choices

Wed Aug 05, 2015 8:33 pm

Is anybody else on here shooting FT with a TX200?, if so may one enquire as to your choice of scope and satisfaction with said?.
I currently have a Falcon T50 on my FT rig, range finds brilliantly but, for me rather too much weight up top for balance / cog on this springer.
I have considered a Leupold 35x45 (mag a bit much for me standing!) and also a Bushnell 8-32x40 any pearls (or even cricket balls) of wisdom out there :!:

ive got a big nikko on my tx, i put this on so it was the same as my ftp 900, my mate has got the bushnell ellit 8x32x40 and it works very well as does the nikko, the bushnell is a bit lighter if weight is a concern. atb tony.

Thank you Tony, I appreciate the input, I really wish to lose some weight (scope not me!,)my T50 range finds brilliantly but it is nearly a kilo then you add a wheel and other bells and whistles...
At a shade over 6ft and around 88kg I am no lightweight but, the rig would balance better with less weight on top.

I've got a Hawke Airmax 8-32x50 (side focus and 30mm tube) mounted on my TX200HC. It's a heavy beast though, but I think it's a good scope and feels quite balanced.

Cheers guys, much appreciated, I am now at the stage of borrowing (or begging) to try the Leup (or indeed the T35) and the Bushnell on my TX FT rig.

I have the Bushnell 8-32 4200 Elite on 2 of my TX's and the 6-24 on another. They are bulletproof and both range well, if your eyesight is good. If your eyes are a bit dim you may need more mag. My 6-24 has been on a TX for at least 100,000 shots and it's still going strong. I mount them low and close and loading the gun isn't a problem because of the ingenious setup of the TX/PS loading port.

Thank you to all, I am tomorrow morning going to be able to try both options (in exchange for what shall no doubt become a rather long luncheon!).
The Bushnell is apparently being discontinued to be replaced with a new 4500 series side focus model (but focusing only down to 25 yds).
