back to the farm for rats

well it took a bit longer than I hoped but I got out last night again for some scaly tail bashing.
Was worried when I first got there as the estate had obviously run a tractor round and levelled the whole area, removing all the lovely mulch that the rats had been tunnelling through.
There was still the earth bund though so I thought I'd wait and see....
Yep they are still there
Could have had more if I hadn't misranged a few
but the fact that when this happened and the pellet smacked into the mud next to them they just sat there and peered round in a worried fashion rather than legging it shows that they aren't getting enough hunting. Need to change that
A few could obviously tell that I was out there as they were sitting up on there hind legs and sniffing the breeze - but all that did was make them a nice big stationary target
Just have to love NV!
At the end I walked round with the head torch to tidy up but once I turned it off, they were coming back out only minutes later
Only downside was that I'd told the missus I'd only be gone an hour and ended up being a little bit longer than that........
