Saw a report from Norfolk - not sure if the research was nationwide. Got to say the numbers in my area are well up this year having taken a myxomatosis hit two years ago.

My area generally has very poor numbers but I've just chanced on about 8 acres that is heaving with them, only half a mile from home. First outing tonight.

Good luck Tim

Around here it is dire you get the odd pocket of rabbits but the vast majority of the land is a long walk for nothing.

Have the Swansea rabbits decided to bugger off and find somewhere with easier digging?

I sat in the corner of the field and just watched for about 2 hours, all the rabbit activity was up the other end apart from one old buck that popped out almost under my feet. That reminded me of an incident at the stables years ago when I was stood by the hedge and one came out next to my foot so I stamped on it!
There is a small clump of saplings at the top end of the field, by sitting in there I reckon I'll have all the best areas within 50 yards. Last night I estimated there was about 40 rabbits within shooting distance, Promising!
