was thinking of camping overnight & hunting early doors when a thought struck me, it`s sub zero up here right now & if I took a PCP with me, it`d be stone cold after a night in a tent, would this affect the gun in any way? surely a stone cold air tube (& contents) will react differently to a room temp` one?
on reflection, does a springer perform differently in extreme cold?
accuracy with a PCP in the cold?

Re: accuracy with a PCP in the cold?
aye up si, the pcp would more than likely lose a bit of power in the cold, some guns are affected more than others.
a springer would also be a bit down on power owing to the grease being affected by the cold, again some guns are affected more than others.
my s400 has a definite winter and summer setting, about 15 fps difference usually.

I did think of that actually, I`ve a Carhartt `Jackson` bobbing around on a container ship somewhere twixt USA & Scotland, if it ever gets here I`ll probably wrap the gunslip in it, should do the trick, although, I`m worried the drop in temp` might affect accuracy once I`m out in the cold, I`m gonna try it out with a walk in the cold then try a few shots at home, if it does affect the accuracy then the camping trip`s a no no, this cold weather shooting will require further investigation before I point a gun at any quarry! responsibility & all that.

my EV2, looses power when cold, and vice versa when warm.

Wrap a freshly shot rabbit around the cylinder.
