Massacre at the warehouse ...

Sun Jul 12, 2015 12:58 pm

A couple of months ago, I took responsibility for the fleet of vans where I work. I saw off a number of Short Term Hires with the view of replacing them with Long Term Leases which are obviously cheaper and worth it of your company is growing ... you know you will need them. Well, they arrived a little while ago and we parked them up in a disused warehouse. I went in on Friday to see how many were issued and how many left and was dismayed to see most of them absolutely covered in pigeon poo. Right .... I said to myself. Job for the weekend when no one is about. ;) :)

Well. 21 shots fired in 1/2 an hour. 3 x to zero while shooting up at a steep angle. 15 clean one shot one kills. 3 of them needed follow up shots but in hindsight, it was probably nerves.. 1 is stuck dead in the rafters. 3 are lying out of reach on top of an internal office block. The rest are here 8-) A bit less poo on the brand new vehicles from here on I suppose. I will pay another visit next week to catch the ones that may have been out feeding, then close off the openings they have been using to get in.

The biggest challenge was making sure I didn't take a shot unless there was a concrete or steel backstop. No point in breaking the glass skylights or putting holes in the tin roof.

Great bit of cleaning up there , they can and do make a mess of anything their droppings land on.
I have an industrial perm where the pigeons are a nucance and shot placement is critical so there is no building damage.
keep up the good work.

Thanks guys ... That was Sunday. One of my drivers went in there today and apparently there are still about 1/2 a dozen of them flying about. Roll on next weekend

Went back to the Reservoir Dogs Ear Cutting scene place again after dinner tonight. Another 6 cleared taking the tally up to 2 dozen 8-) I doubt if there any left :) Need to close the holes next.
