So another winter is almost upon us and it`s been a long time since I last posted (over 12 months !!!) and I`ve just received a message from my Northumberland farmer asking "do you want to shoot some rats ?"
I must admit I`ve not been out much with the rifle over the last year (new motorcycle and work commitments) so this message has galvanised me into action and I`ll get to put my homemade nightvision through it`s paces starting this sunday afternoon. I plan to get there in daylight to set zero and shoot a few targets of the paper variety and then once I`m happy set about eradicating a few rats.
They`re not seeing many in daylight but there`s lots of droppings around the cattle sheds and it appears that the rats are after the barley which is added to the silage.
Roll on sunday.
