Hello from across the pond

Wed Aug 12, 2020 9:40 pm

Greetings, all,
I have recently acquired a new to me AA S410-unfortunately something went wrong in shipment and it is clipping badly. It will group beautifully with the shroud and moderator combination removed but with the shroud on it will spray pellets far to the left in shotgun fashion. I need assistance in how to proceed. I live in California and reason that there some knowledgeable Air Arms owners are here.
I will post my questions in the technical section.
I look forward to being a member here.
Regards,
John

Hello John and welcome.

I cured the clipping on 2 s510's and posted my method. The info should apply to s410's.

Be aware the barrel must not move within the shroud. If it does you most likely have a problem with the fluted aluminium spacer in the shroud. It pushes out from the moderator end towards the breech. Look for worn or flat sided 'O' rings on this spacer. Replace them if they are damaged. Take note on how I refitted the shroud.
