Open sights on TX200

Tue Jul 07, 2020 2:10 pm

Has anyone mounted open sights on the TX 200? The front sight is a problem. I want to shoot at close range without optics.I need a solution for the front sight that is not permanent. No silver solder, etc.Surely someone has done this.

Thanks

I spent hours last year looking for a solution for this that did not involved butchering a TX to do.. google threw up one post in another forum claiming a possible solution, however it was (back then) from 3 or 4 years ago and the guy had never posted details or pics despite many folk asking
AA FTP900, AA HFT500, AA S510, FWB-800FT

If you want something functional and are not too worried about appearance you might look at a barrel clamp. I've used a barrel clamp with a short picatinny rail to mount various attachments, including miniature lasers which I've used for short range plinking and rats. I've also seen sights that attach to picatinny rails.

Thanks Gary. I sent the seller a question concerning the height of the sight above the shroud. to see if it will work with the rear sight. I wonder if anyone has tried this 3D sight It might just work for those of us wanting to shoot open sights with the TX 200.
