S410 Carbine .22
S410 Carbine .22
Hi, haven't used my 410 for some time. Still has some air about half full, and fires ok. When I try to fill with air the adapter seems to fit too easily, with no resistance. Open valve on bottle, and no sound of air at all, and the gauge on the bottle doesn't move. Seems to be plenty of air in bottle however.

It could be that your cylinder needs filling, if the rifle and cylinder are off equal pressure nothing will happen.

You say the adapter fits with no resistance... but it's not leaking? If air is leaking from the adaptor you'll need to replace the O-rings. Is the valve ion the bottle sticking? Are you getting ait coming from the bottle valve when the whip is disconnected?
Re: S410 Carbine .22
Thanks for replies. No air sound when bottle connected to rifle, so no leak. I think maybe that even though air comes from bottle when disconnected with valve open, maybe not enough air in bottle, which needs calibrating as well. Nowhere open to get sorted owing to pesky virus.
Re: S410 Carbine .22
Messed about a bit, emptied all air from rifle, and tried again. Must be plenty of air in bottle as it filled ok. Gauge on rifle only going up to 150 bar though. Is this a problem with something else?

Not enough air in your bottle. Time for a top up

That is what I suspect. Nowhere to get filled just now, but I have sent for a Hill manual pump, which should arrive soon. Keep safe.
