Newbie Alert!!
Just registered, Got a pm from a lovely gent from (apologies) another forum, who lived just down the road from me in North Norfolk, (not too sure he wants me to mention his callsign).
I am just starting out and needed some advice/help. He invited me to pop round to see him, which I did this morning.
What a top bloke he is, he had loads of rifles, majority of which were AA, I am on the small side, 4ft 10ins and was worried/concerned about reach problems, (used to shoot 12 bore, but didn't get on with it), well, nothing was too much, he was swapping over stocks with different barrels etc, he used different scopes, different moderators, even advising that if I liked a certain barrel, it could be shortened to a carbine length.
Came out of his house more wiser (well a little wiser, anyway).
But think I know what rifle I would like........either S400 single shot, with an eight shot mag. Or the whole hog S501.
Not rushing into anything at the moment, joining a club, hopefully, next week, so will have a good look around.
Going on a bit, sorry.
Will be back with loads of questions/help/advice
Terry

Re: Hi All
Have you tried an S400 MPR FT, they have short stocks so might suit you better than the S400 or S510 ??

Re: Hi All
I tried loads of rifles, he didn't have an mpr ft though. Until your idea, the one that fitted (after taking a lump off the stock) was the s410 Carbine, that felt comfortable. Thanks for the idea though.
I am reading up on so many guns, I am getting a headache. What does the 'FT' mean??
