Got a new rifle today

FAC variation came back this afternoon, I had an Anschutz .22 1417 .22 Rinfire, with deluxe skeleton thumb hole stock @ my RFD waiting for me .
zero session tomorrow weather permitting

went out this morning, well it had to be done even thought it was windy.
I got set up with targets @ 50m down wind & tried CCI-Eley-RWS-Winchester
groupings not too bad as new to RF & windy too, the Winchesters were noisy, i think the Eley & RWS might be the ammo of choice but more testing in calm conditions. Anyways got through 50 rounds

I need to find the quietest , accurate round as there are horse paddocks in the estate

My mates 1417 does not like cci but shoots well with Winchester.

Out tomorrow morning for more testing with my m8. Winnys seemed very noisy, with sound bouncing back off trees, the RWS & Eley were noticeably quieter from behind the rifle

What Winchester’s are you using. Winchester subs with a moderator are very quiet.

I use Winchesters with a sak mod,very quiet.

Is there a mod on your new rifle?

Yea A-Tec waveline & its quieter that the SAK ( now sold ) 5 shots RWS HP @ 50m today & a fivepenny piece covers them, Eley nxt best.
So for the perm where the horse`s are its RWS HP.
Tested today the SAK & A-Tec +

Ely
CCI
Winchester

In order of loudness all would have resulted in an Ex bunny
